At Mountain View Clinical Counseling we offer individualized, accessible and inclusive tele-therapy sessions for adolescents and adults.

Therapy sessions are rooted in empirically supported treatment modalities, acknowledging that change and progress looks different for everyone.

Katie Blum,

MA, LCPC, NCC, CCMHC

Katie is a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) offering tele-therapy services to individuals in Illinois and Iowa. Katie has over 10 years of experience working in the mental health field with a wide range of presenting concerns/diagnoses as well as with individuals ranging from children to adults, including families and parenting support.

Areas of speciality include adults and adolescents with anxiety, women and pregnant individuals especially those in perinatal and postpartum adjustments in life as well as those experiencing life transition/stress associated with change. Katie has extensive experience working with individuals in corporate America, helping them navigate work stress/colleague dynamics as well as career growth and achievement/change.

Mountain View Clinical Counseling is committed to providing culturally sensitive and trauma informed treatment, blending research supported modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) as well as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) into the therapeutic relationship.

Katie holds a masters degree in counseling psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in addition to undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Sociology from North Central College. Katie has been endorsed by the National Board for Certified Counselors as a National Certified Counselor as well as a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor. Katie is independently licensed in Illinois (LCPC) and Iowa (MHC).

Katie holds active membership in the American Counseling Association.
